Episode 266: History Man re-visited - Andy Woodman, Manager Bromley FC
Friday Jan 02, 2026
Friday Jan 02, 2026
In 2022, Darren Weale and Zeenat Noorani interviewed Bromley Football Club's Manager Andy Woodman ahead of what was Bromley's first victory at Wembley in the FA Trophy final. Since then, Andy has taken the club, via a second Wembley victory in the play-off's, to compete in the Football League for the first time. As 2026 begins, we re-visit that interview and re-share Andy's thoughts on how he would celebrate if they won that first, crucial victory. This brief, thoughtful excerpt in which Andy gives his answer, from episode 54, is one of the most memorable highlights in the history of the Bromley Buzz podcast. We thank Andy for his words and for making history, twice so far.

Episode 265: Chelsfield's Belldrinkers latest joy for Christmas
Saturday Dec 20, 2025
Saturday Dec 20, 2025
Darren Weale talks with Dave Griffiths of The Belldrinkers about their latest Christmas song, 'Cross Me Off Your Christmas List', newly released on You Tube and music streaming channels such as Spotify.
Created by Dave and Lester, with numerous others with Chelsfield links, most of all the Five Bells pub, the songs have become a highlight of the year and a bit of a Santa Dash to get completed in time for Christmas every year, as Dave explains.
The Belldrinkers can be found on channels including You Tube, Spotify, Apple Music, Facebook, and more.
Chester Zoo, Vulcan bombers, The Belldrinkers Philharmonic Chorus, and Truro Cathedral's organ all form part of this 'Ska revival with slightly mad sounding brass' and a singer, now aged 16, who was 5 when their first song was recorded 11 years ago.
Dave pays tribute on the podcast and in the video to a late Belldrinker, Paul Skinner, who sadly passed this year.
