Darren Weale and Sarah Marsh-Collings visit the former home of Charles Darwin in Bromley, Down House.
This episode is recorded in the gardens, Darwin's 'living landscape laboratory', home to Darwin's experiments and observations in biodiversity and his 'genius earthworm theory', and, now, cream teas!
We are with Tessa Kilgariff, Collections Curator for South London for English Heritage, and Antony O'Rourke, Head Gardener.
From the orchard, we go to the rear lawn, with its walking mulberry tree, Darwin's glasshouse in the walled garden, carnivorous plants, orchids in the Tropical section, onto the Climbing section, and the Kitchen garden.
Down House is open to the public.
