Darren Weale and Sarah Marsh-Collings visit the former home of Charles Darwin in Bromley, Down House.
This episode is recorded inside the home with Tessa Kilgariff, Collections Curator for South London for English Heritage, and Antony O'Rourke, Head Gardener.
It begins by the staircase in the inner hallway, and we talk about the slide Charles Darwin commissioned for his children to use to go down the stairs, and go on to speak in his study, and the billiard room.
Down House is open to the public.
This episode was preceded by a short trailer extract from the full interview with Antony, here. The previous episode featuring the introductory conversation outside the house is here, and an episode recorded in the gardens will follow.
