Darren Weale talks with Ian Rowe, CEO and Head Of Service at Bromley Youth Music Trust.
Ian talks about the Trust, its work with numerous schools including Langley Park School for Boys, Highfield Junior School, and with partners such as Monkey Music. The Trust supports age groups from pre-school to Year 13 and adults. Ian mentions collaborations such as the Churchill Theatre, and looks forward to the Bromley Schools Prom at Croydon's Fairfield Halls from 24-26th March.
Ian talks about how the Trust can be sponsored and supported and about the importance of the Young Musicians Bursary, which helps provide free musical opportunities for young people unable to afford them.
Ian refers to the long-established excellence of the musicians produced by the Trust, with Jazz, Rock, musical theatre, and more added to the genres and opportunities enabled by the Trust, and Ian describes the work of the South East London Music Hub.
